I hope you like my new look. I mean the construction hat. I found it
to be necessary attire with all the building going on at Greentree
Close. Things have been pretty chaotic what with all the workers, the
heavy equipment, bricks and mortar, and everything else that goes with
a construction project. Gay Reading said the project will be completed
in September or October. I sure hope so. It’s been hot and dusty and
noisy and worst of all, the construction foreman brings his Jack
Russell to work every day. His name is Buddy and he spends most of the
day high up on the scaffolding. I think he’s an exhibitionist. Part of
my job description these days is to keep an eye on Buddy and to
oversee the construction. I feel really useful when they let me help
drive the giant forklift tractor. The construction site is a little
bit of an inconvenience for customers but the end result will be worth
it. The rendering is beautiful and best of all, there will be a new
grassy area for me to use when I take my breaks.
Other than the construction, the big news at The Close this month is
all about our big summer sale—the fifth annual event. You can read all
about it elsewhere in this newsletter. |
